Sustainability

🌿 Our Commitment to Country & Conservation

At Cape2Camp, we believe the greatest adventure partner isn’t the trail beneath our feet—it’s the land that holds it all. From the towering karri forests to the sweeping coastline, we walk gently, live lightly, and do our bit to give back.

Our sustainability philosophy is simple: Leave it better than we found it.

We’re proud to be an Eco Certified business—and even prouder to walk alongside likeminded legends helping protect this wild, beautiful corner of the world.

🌱 How We Walk the Talk

Leave No Trace, Always

Every Cape2Camp hike is guided by the internationally recognised Leave No Trace principles. You’ll see us:

  • Walking only on designated trails
  • Camping in approved areas
  • Packing out every bit of waste—ours and others’
  • Educating hikers to respect wildlife, plants, and each other

Our hikers leave the trail just as they found it—if not better.

Low Emissions, Big Impact

We’ve designed Cape2Camp to tread softly:

  • Walk-in, walk-out camps = fewer vehicle transfers
  • Locally sourced food & drinks = lower transport emissions and support for small producers
  • Carpool & bus encouragement = we offer complimentary trail transfers when you ditch the car
  • Complimentary airport pickups = go car-free, stress-free
  • Reusable containers & compostables = no single-use plastics at our camps

We provide your food containers, and encourage all hikers to bring their own reusable water bottles.

Giving Back to the Track

🌳 Giving Back to the Track

We don’t just walk the Cape to Cape—we care for it.

  • We join local tree planting and restoration days run by conservation groups
  • We donate to Nature Conservation Margaret River and support Friends of the Cape to Cape Track
  • We partner with Line in the Sand, with all proceeds from our canvas tote bags going toward their vital conservation work

🐾 Educating the Next Generation of Trail Stewards

  • Wildlife, conservation and sustainability education is shared in our hiker WhatsApp groups before each trip
  • We inspire families and kids through our Cape2Camp Family offering—creating tomorrow’s guardians of the trail

Camp Clean. Camp Proud

♻️ Camp Clean. Camp Proud.

We’ve rolled out trail-specific recycling at camp, including Containers for Change with donations going to local environmental charities.

No plastic bottles. No waste left behind. Just good people doing good things.
